Wedding Favors…

Favors for your wedding guests.

When it comes to wedding  favors, your choices are almost endless, every wedding site you look at has favors. Some couples like to go with traditional  favors, or ones that have historical or family  meaning. Other brides  try something new and fresh , or add their own personal flair. What you do about favors will depend on your personality and the overall feel  of your wedding.

Here are the popular Wedding Favors…

The old  (sometimes boring)  standbys are popular for a reason. You can’t go wrong with these traditional favors…

  • Almonds…Your guests will love the old fashioned feel, or you can also modernize them by boxing  them creatively. Dress them up in a customized wedding favor box with your names and wedding date.Or create your own logo.
  • Personalized wine labels for wine bottles… These are now among the most popular  favors in the business. For something different, give your guests a personalized bottle of beer instead.
  • Photo frames… These add a personal touch and can also be used  as place card holders on the tables.
  • Sweet favors…Scented candles and  soaps  always make great  favors. Your out of town guests will appreciate them, as they can use them in their hotel rooms.
  • Music CDs…Mix  together your favorite selection of  songs and decorate the CD with a personalized label featuring your engagement picture and wedding date.Your DJ may be able to give you a master disc that he will play at your wedding.

Discount Favors…

You may already know that traditional wedding stores can be unnecessarily costly . The big  trick is to get past  these money traps when shopping for favors. Instead, try craft stores, department stores and even local flea markets. Look for high quality  rather than buying favors specifically sold just  for weddings. Another option is to workout a deal with a local craftsman who’s willing to give you a discount for all your business. Bottom line people, take the time to shop around and don’t rule out any options. Also don’t leave this task to him, I have seen some real crazy wedding favors when the groom was in control.

Wedding Gifts…

With or without a gift registry. like  no condom… A RISK

Dam It’s hard enough to choose something to wear to a wedding, never mind finding the right  wedding gift to show your love and friendship to the bride and groom, you have been to there house 100’s of times and know what they have got. And, let’s be honest – as newlyweds, it can be hard to know what to do when you receive five toasters, when you only have one house. A bridal registry may make the gift giving process easier, convenient and enjoyable for wedding guests. Lets hope so.

Making up  a Wedding Registry…

We are here to help and here’s how to take the guesswork out of the gift registry game , for your guests and for yourselves, in just three 3  easy  steps, here you go…

  1. Make a list and check it twice or three times… Sit down with your man, husband to be  and make a list of the items you want and need, REALLY  need . Think of the items that would make your life easier and more fun, add pizzazz to your entertaining  and  provide a lot of fun for the two of you and guests. If you have the basics already but still want to register, choose specialty items that fit your lifestyle and where you want your life style to go.
  2. Choose  stores &  register… Be sure to register for bridal shower and wedding gifts at least 6.2 (ask me why 6.2 ) months before the wedding day to give people a lot of time to shop till they drop “THEY LOVE YOU”. Choose a couple of popular, pricey  stores in which to register, and make sure they fit your style and carry a wide array of items on your list including Porsche, why not try.
  3. Hello girls  spread the word…Now you can let your guests and friends  know where you’ve registered. Remember, this information does not go in your invitation…Tackeee. The best and only (in my op ) way to let guests know about your bridal registry is through word of mouth. Tell your close friends and family that your bridal registry is established and leave it up to them to spread the word.

Wedding Gift Ideas,you need this…

Not sure what to register for, you are not alone ? Or not sure what to buy for the newlywed couple? Here are some safe  items, as well as a few unique wedding ones…

  • Fine china is usually reserved for big deal dinners and very formal occasions. It comes in a variety of patterns to suit your lifestyle and tastes. It’s typically sold in five-piece sets, including dinner plate, bread and butter plate, salad plate, teacup and saucer.
  • Casual china is used for entertaining, but is not as formal as fine china. It’s sold in four-piece settings, including dinner plate, salad / bread plate, soup / cereal bowl and mug.
  • Stemware or fine glassware is typically crystal, and includes red and white wine glasses, champagne flutes, water goblets and iced beverage glasses. It is sold in sets of four, eight or twelve.
  • Flatware or knifes and forks, ever wonder why they don’t call it fork and knife, can be sterling, sterling-plated or stainless steel. It is usually sold in five-piece place settings including knife, fork, salad fork, soup spoon and teaspoon.
  • If you are shopping for an established couple who already has all of the basics, this can be a chance to commemorate their union. Look for a personalized wedding gift, such as a set of monogrammed towels or table linens. This is a beautiful tradition well worth reviving.
  • Think about the bridal couple’s style. Do they love the outdoors, casual life and informal décor? Or are they a high-style team looking for luxury goods and designer accents? Then choose a unique wedding gift, whether it be a bicycle-built-for-two or goose-down-filled bedding, that reflects their common tastes.

Off the Registry, not the wall…

While the registry is meant to make life simple the wedding gift giving process, don’t feel obligated to stick to the list. Some guests feel a registry gift detracts from the inherent surprise of gifts, and won’t express their wedding well-wishes in a unique way.

Since the registry is generally a idea  of the wants and wishes of both the bride and groom, be sure to make your off the registry wedding gift something that the happy couple can enjoy. From my point of view go off the list and buy something from the heart that you know they will like.

Keep in mind that what you buy as a gift will tag you for as long as the couple have it, so if you don’t want to be remembered, buy a cheap vase that will be broken soon after the wedding. Hopefully mot during the couple fighting
