Stephanie and Bobby at Chenowith Woods

Some places are just magical; Chenowith Woods is surely among them.  Situated in the redwoods just off the Russian River near Guernville, this venue is a touch of sylvan serenity.  The cool green light filtering through the tree tops meeting the warm dusty golden earth made for a perfect wedding site for friends and family to celebrate with Stephanie and Bobby.  Bernadette of Belle fine Weddings and Peter Bruce Photography was lucky enough to photograph this warm, intensely personal event for the enchanting couple.  Great food and drink followed by loving wishes from all the families  segued into a great get down blues performance by Curtis Lawson and his band.  The evening ended with the strains of  “Bound by Love” floating into the night.

Memorial weekend found Belle Fine Weddings and Peter Bruce Photography back at  beautiful   Testarossa Winery with a great couple, Kalli and Gabriel.  The combination of century old stone buildings and beautiful vineyards winding around the Los Gatos hills mixed with the shining spirit of this lovely group of families made for a fabulous wedding and some truly touching photos.

Please make no mistake, we at Peter Bruce photo love dancing. A wedding without dancing are like cake without frosting  very  dry and boring. But while we are wholly in favor of the shaking of groove thangs by young and old alike, the line has to be drawn somewhere when it comes to worn-out, clichéd group dances. The

should have died out a decade and a half ago, the last Electric Slide should have been performed last in 1981, and the god dam  Chicken Dance, which was probably brought to North America in the 11th century by Vikings, has been a groaner for roughly that long.Yes to long

I’ll  make an exception for the conga, though. Everybody loves the conga.Including me
